A route that takes you to the largest dunes of the Sahara desert of Merzouga, passing through the middle Atlas mountain, where you can watch Berber apes on the cedar trees. Our private tour begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco) and Azrou, where we’ll get a chance to explore the famous cedar forests, home of the Moroccan Berber apes.
We will continue to Midelt, traveling through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge, a beautiful place where we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea.
Then we will travel across the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani; an oasis we will stop by just before reaching the Sahara desert. Once we arrive at the Erg Chebbi desert dunes, we will ride camels towards our desert camp. Upon arrival there we will be served a complimentary traditional dinner, and enjoy some Berber music around a campfire under the star and moonlight desert sky.
On our second day, we’ll catch an early start to watch the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, and then from there ride on camel back to the village and enjoy a delicious breakfast in a hotel. Then it is back on the road towards Erfoud and Rissani, where we’ll make a stop once more before continuing to Ifrane and then finally, Fez where you will drop off.
